Engaging your employees in a workplace health initiative can be easy, inexpensive, and fun!

Our Workplace Wellness Committee operates to assist small and mid-sized businesses in Somerset County with implementing employer-based wellness strategies. Through the efforts of our members and supporting partners, we emphasize the benefits of wellness strategies in the workplace and provide useful tools and key resources for businesses in Somerset County that promotes employee health.

As part of our commitment to promote the business advantages of wellness programs and strategies for employers, the SCBP's Workplace Wellness Committee is offering an educational series throughout 2017. 

This June 22nd you and your employees won't want to miss our PATHWAYS TO FITNESS workshop offering a full menu of fitness resources to create a postive atmosphere and to improve your bottom-line!

PATHWAYS TO FITNESS offers a “hands on” demo* and four sessions followed by networking:

  • High Intensity “Sport of Fitness”Pathway - presented by Donna Giesler, CrossFit Toy Box
  • Low Intensity “Resistance” Pathway - presented by Myla Groth and Brenda Linton, On Fire 4 Fitness
  • How to Bring Simple and Safe Fitness into Your Day without Sweat - presented by Godelieve Babey, Be Fit Anywhere
  • Non-Exercise Pathway To Fitness -presented by Mike Schatzki, “Recovering Couch Potato”/ Negotiation Dynamics

* Changing rooms are available for changing out of business attire. Sneakers are not required, but are encouraged.

Our Workplace Wellness Committee meets on the first Thursday monthly from 8:30am-10:00am in the Main Conference Room at the Somerset County Business Partnership. The group offers networking from 9:30am-10:00am.


SCBP is a community partner of the Healthier Somerset Coalition, led by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. We proudly support the Coalition’s mission to improve the health status of all who live and work in Somerset County, and actively serve as a vehicle to provide pertinent health information and key resources to the business community.
