SCBP offers front row seat with Senator Tom Kean

Business leaders gathered on Friday, May 11 for a breakfast featuring Republican Leader Tom Kean (R-21). During this event hosted by Affinity Federal Credit Union, Senator Kean addressed topics such as the Jersey Comeback, the State Strategic Plan, the impending state Senate race, and current proposals to redefine ‘smart-growth’ in NJ.

ASSEMBLY SPEAKER ENGAGES SOMERSET COUNTY BUSINESS LEADERS

Speaker of the New Jersey Assembly Sheila Oliver (D-34) met with members of the Somerset County Business Partnership and the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce at a breakfast meeting at the Imperia in Somerset, New Jersey on Friday, April 13, 2012.

The Speaker explained that her primary focus in the State Assembly is how public policy and public affairs impacts the quality of life for the people of New Jersey. Part of that initiative requires the Legislature to create employment opportunities that serve as an economic engine to make the local economy work and create disposable income to fuel growth of the public sector.....

On Feb. 3, more than 50 business leaders gathered for a forum to navigate through NJ’s developing green regulations. During the event, Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula (D-17) spoke about the status of pending legislation that if enacted would promote business incentives and green jobs. SCBP opposes Millionaire's Tax

The SCBP in collaboration with Chambers of Commerce United for Business Growth testified on Monday, June 27 before the Assembly Budget Committee to oppose the Millionaire's Tax in the upcoming FY 2012 state budget. This effort in conjunction with support offered for pension reform is part of the Business Partnership's continued effort to push for business incentives that would increase the state's competitive positioning and to make it a home for growth.

SCBP holds forum on Sustaining NJ's Economic Growth
