The Legislative Affairs Committee:
- Offers members the opportunity to engage local, state and federal legislators and policy makers on an ongoing basis.
- Advances a legislative agenda that seeks to improve Somerset County's business climate.
- Creates opportunities for members to develop and provide leadership in directing the Business Partnership's advocacy initiatives.
The SCBP Legislative Affairs Committee
is the “go-to group” to drive business related public policy
issues– upward to Senators, Congressmen, Executive Branch (Cabinet) Members and regulatory agencies. The SCBP Legislative Affairs Committee meets on the first Friday of every month. To learn more, contact Takeena L. Deas.
There is a continuous effort to obtain feedback from our members to ensure that our advocacy and influence remains a valued return on investment.
