It's easy to nominate a worthy individual or group. All you have to do is contact the Business Partnership via
email
and include as much information about the candidate as you can, return it to the
Business Partnership office and notify the nominee of your nomination or
complete the online submission form.
The Outstanding Citizen
of the Year/Quality of Life Award Committee will contact the nominee to confirm your nomination and obtain any
other supporting documents. The nominee will be responsible for submitting a
resume, biography and supporting documentation, along
with a letter verifying the accuracy of the nomination form, accepting the
nomination and agreeing to be present at the awards dinner, if selected.
| | Recipients should be residents of Somerset County. |
| | Service must be such that it
influenced the success of activities affecting the welfare of this community. |
| | Individuals should be cited
for activities outside those duties connected with his or her employment. |
| | Leadership should be
recognized and service involvement performed during the previous or current
year, but may be a result of cumulative activities. |
| | The basis for the award may
be granted for outstanding service in singular or multiple fields. |
| | Nominees need not be
members or investors in the Somerset County Business Partnership. |
| | Previous recipients of the
awards remain eligible, but not for the same initiatives that were already recognized. |
| | Nominations should include a thorough background of the volunteer service
rendered. |
| | Nominations may be submitted by individuals or organizations. Letters of
support may be submitted, but no more than three will be accepted. |
| | Nominees shall not be precluded from consideration based on their
political affiliation, activity, candidacy or incumbency, providing that
candidates are not selected during the sixty
days preceding a general election. |
