- Award categories include: Small Business, Medium/Large Businesses, Non-Profit, and Young Entrepreneur.
- Recipient companies will have made a positive impact on the quality of life and economic vitality in Somerset County in areas including job creation and retention, job training and retraining, sales growth, profitability and reinvestments, increased assets and influx of new dollars from outside the area into Somerset County.
- Recipient non-profit will have made a significant impact in the quality of life of the organization’s targeted
constituency and Somerset County. Categories for review will include growth of constituency served,
innovative programming, and contribution of volunteer base.
- Nominated firm must be a member firm of the Somerset County Business Partnership.
Nomination information should include elaboration on the business' activities
in any of the following areas: jobs created or retained, and payroll dollars
these jobs represent. This could include employees, independent contractors and
business owners and job training programs. Explanation should be included if new
jobs related to the contraction and/or consolidation of operations from
elsewhere. Annual gross sales and profitability should be described, the amount
and nature of investments in capital expenditures, intellectual capital and
growth in e-commerce, economic revitalization of an area, improving the quality
of life in our county, serving as a leader in innovation in its industry or
taking a company public.
