Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups are designed to provide venues for business people to come together from companies of like sizes, industries and professions to network, exchange ideas, gain new business strategies and to influence the SCBP’s agenda. Don’t see what you need? Members are also encouraged to initiate any committee, task force or special interest group as long as it falls within the mission of the SCBP.

Sustainable Somerset

Plan and develop programs focusing on clean energy, energy audits, and the legal aspects of “green”, while working with the Somerset County Energy Council.  

Workplace Wellness

Raise awareness about the benefits of employer-based wellness programs and make employers aware of available community resources that support employee wellness.

Leads Groups

Share your leads and referrals with other Business Partnership members by participating in our one of our four Leads Groups that meet semi-monthly.

Tourism Council

Guide and support tourism in Somerset County by lending your voice to strategy development and discussing sustainable economic growth opportunities.

Nonprofit Council

Discuss community needs, access services and promote collaboration with other nonprofit organizations.

Financial Industry

Educate other members on issues affecting their personal and professional financial lives, so often intertwined in small and mid-sized businesses.

Small Office, Home Office (SOHO)

Participate in a forum of education and discussion that empowers professionals by creating an environment where entrepreneurs can grow their businesses quicker and with fewer hurdles.

Young Professionals

Provides social networking opportunities for members 40 years of age and under.

Women in Business

This group is directed at the specific needs of women and their businesses. An informal network of business women gather to empower and encourage each other through events and community involvement.

Human Resources Roundtable

Provides a peer-to-peer forum for human resource personnel and company decision-makers to learn about latest HR trends.

Legislative Affairs

Connect with local elected officials through monthly networking luncheons (ELC Luncheons)

CEO Roundtable

Learn from and advise other CEOs, owners and managing partners through the sharing of experiences and best practices in a non-competitive, confidential and professionally facilitated forum.
