Registration Open for the 46th ANNUAL SOMERSET COUNTY BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP GOLF CLASSIC New Location – New Opportunities – New Levels of Enjoyment Tuesday, September 25, 2018
BRIDGEWATER, NJ – The Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) is accepting registration for the 46th Annual Golf Classic, the longest continuously running golf event in Somerset County, scheduled for Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the acclaimed Cherry Valley Country Club, 125 Country Club Drive, Skillman, New Jersey.
Cherry Valley Country Club was recognized and Club of the Year in 2016 by the New Jersey Golf Foundation, the charitable arm of the New Jersey Section, PGA of America (NJPGA).
The festivities will begin with registration, driving range, and putting green open at 10:30 A.M; lunch beginning at 11:00 A.M; shotgun start at 12:00 Noon; and cocktails, dinner, silent auction, and awards at 5:00 P.M. The daylong event is scheduled to end by 7:00 P.M.
“The Business Partnership is taking Somerset County’s longest running golf outing to another classic golf destination,” explained Jeff Jones, Chair of the golf event. “The tradition of this event is unmatched and the opportunity to introduce members and non-members to another new location makes a special event even more special.” The Golf Classic is generally respected as the premier business networking event in Somerset County.
Early Birdie Registration (before Friday, August 31) fee for an individual golfer is $300 and $1100 for a foursome.

Sponsorships starting at $250 are available for businesses to gain exposure to this elite group of business and political leaders.
The event was originally named for Robert G. Ransone who began his career as Somerset County Director of Economic Development in 1967 and was instrumental in opening channels of communication between the county government and the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce, the predecessor organization to the Somerset County Business Partnership. He served as Chairman of the Chamber and organized the original golf tournament in 1972. The trophy awarded for low score is named in his honor.
