TOURISM

The official Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for Somerset County, NJ, a 501(c)3 organization, and a Division of the Somerset County Business Partnership. Their mission is to advance the local economy by sustainably promoting the area’s outstanding travel products and experiences, and to offer a variety of useful services to residents, business travelers and leisure visitors.

Somerset County Tourism is an active member of New Jersey Destination Marketing Organizations and the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association, two entities committed to advocating for travel and tourism funding and promotion in the state of New Jersey.

SOMERSET COUNTY PARK COMMISSION

The Somerset County Park Commission is committed to excellence in promoting stewardship of land and resources, providing outstanding recreation opportunities and leisure services, and fostering an environment which is service-oriented and responsive to public needs.

The Park Commission hosts a variety of events over the course of the year including: Independence Day Fireworks, Summer Concert Series, Festival of Roses, Festival of Trees, Family Fun Day at Lord Stirling Stable, and so much more!

THE GREATER RARITAN WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD

The Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board is a public-private partnership responsible for oversight of the workforce development and delivery system in Hunterdon and Somerset counties, New Jersey.

Established under federal law, the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board undertakes policy and planning to ensure the workforce system is meeting the needs of employers and job seekers.

The board employs staff to work collaboratively with partners in addressing the short and long term workforce needs of local employers.

SOMERSET COUNTY VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL SCHOOLS

Somerset County Vocational and Technical Schools (SCVTS) is proud to provide students with a variety of opportunities focused on career and college preparation. We offer a comprehensive academic and career program aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Students attending our programs are afforded individualized structured plans that prepare them for careers, post-secondary options or both. Through our partnerships with the Raritan Valley Community College and various four-year colleges, we are able to provide high school students with access to college courses and credits, while attaining their high school diploma. Most students come to our high school highly motivated to be successful in our programs with clear career ambitions. Others come to us to learn about career options and alternative pathways to academic and career success.

The diversity found on this campus enriches the Somerset County, and the educational opportunities offered extend far beyond the classroom.

RIDEWISE

RideWise Inc., established in 1990, is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and advocating for transportation choices that are efficient, safe and sustainable. RideWise engages with large and small employers, local government, state agencies, school districts, and other nonprofits to advocate for travel options that are good for business, good for the environment, and good for communities.

KNIGHTS
OF THE RARITAN

Knights of The Raritan (KTR) was created for all student-athletes that represent Rutgers University. KTR’s mission is to provide those student-athletes with the resources and opportunities they deserve during their time On The Banks.

KTR was formed to provide innovative ways for student-athletes to earn experience, develop philanthropy and benefit from compensation while at Rutgers University. The alumni and supporters of Knights of The Raritan are committed to giving current and future Scarlet Knights the opportunity to leverage their name, image and likeness during their time in New Brunswick and Piscataway, while partnering with one of the nation’s largest alumni networks.
