The Somerset County Business Partnership puts a spotlight on the top 40 professionals, philanthropists, entrepreneurs and community leaders under 40 in Somerset County who wentĀ above and beyondĀ the call of duty within their jobs, families and communities in 2023.

TheĀ Top 40 Under 40Ā is evaluated for their commitment to business growth and development, professional excellence, leadership, achievements as well as community service.

The Somerset County Business Partnership has been fortunate enough to enjoy a legacy of leadership. Back in 1950, Somerset County business leaders started a tradition of meeting every year to honor one person as the Citizen of the Year.

The award has evolved over the years, but it has remained true to its original purpose: to recognize one person who has done more that his part in "making our community realize its inherit potentialities."

From the earliest days of the award, it was based on the premise that; One person can make a positive impact on improving our community & Somerset County is a place of inherent potentialities.

This award celebrates the organization's exceptional impact and service in our community.

The Somerset County Business Partnership is honoring for the very first year, a Sustainable Business of the Year Award.

This award will be given to an organization who has made sustainability a main priority in their business practices & everyday lives. An organization whom makes sustainability part of their mission conducts business without negatively impacting the environment, community, or society as a whole.
